Business Realignment,  Column

Your Life Purpose Is More than Your Job Title

Life purpose.

Something that touches us all deeply.

And yet, we rarely talk about it. Especially in the world of business.

But, now I will.

Because, lately, I’ve spoken with successful professionals, leaders, and entrepreneurs who quietly carry the same feeling:

A subtle disconnect. A low-grade dissatisfaction. A desire for deeper contentment — even when life looks “good on paper.”

Many of them have said the same thing to me:

“I feel selfish even thinking about this.”

But the desire for deeper fulfillment is not selfish.

It’s self-leadership.

When you start craving more meaning, it is not something to ignore. It’s your signal. It’s time to reconnect with your deeper purpose.

Because when you know what your life purpose is — when you’re aligned with it, everything changes:

How you lead.

How you make decisions.

How you navigate change.

How you live your life.

What the research says about life purpose

Studies show that people who feel connected to their life purpose experience:

– Greater motivation and long-term performance

– Stronger resilience and emotional well-being

– Increased clarity in decision-making

– Higher levels of engagement and satisfaction

– Even improved physical health and longevity

Life purpose is not reserved for people who have “time to figure it out.” It’s for those who are ready to lead from within — not just perform from the outside.

Your life purpose isn’t your job title. It’s something much deeper than that.

It evolves as you evolve.

And it’s already within you.

It’s not something to go searching for – it’s something to reconnect with.

Connecting with my life purpose

I think it was 2017 when I woke up one Saturday morning with a thought I couldn’t shake:

There must be more to life than this.

My life looked great on paper, but I wasn’t happy.

Fast forward to 2020 — the year I consciously connected with my life purpose for the first time.

It wasn’t a title or a role.

It was: creating transformation. (Although, yes — I did end up calling myself a transformational life coach later on…)

My first thought?

“What does that even mean?”

Then:

“Oh things happening in my life make much more sense now!”

And after a while:

“Oh my, how long will this transformation continue…”

But when I started aligning with it (and not to be in the victim mentality), something clicked.

I knew I was where I needed to be — even if the path didn’t look exactly how I wanted it to look. And soon I realized: it was living through everything I did.

My life was one of deep transformation.

I had just become a life transformation coach and had been studying the theory. And in 2020, I started to embody the (messy) life transformation process in my own life.

And it was not just about where my career was going, but soon I noticed transforming my diet, I moved countries, left corporate world — and more. That season of my life was intense and now I can say it was beautiful (but it certainly did not always feel like it) — full of growth and deep inner work.

And then the day come that something shifted.

After a major step in my journey, my purpose evolved.

It became: living in love.

Again — super vague, right?

But is not.

Because, it is again present in everything I do. It’s how I choose to lead, create, and show up in life — by rooting in loving attitude instead of fear. It’s not something I constantly think about. It’s something I live.

And that’s the key.

Your purpose isn’t something outside of you. It’s something you carry. It doesn’t come from your title, your business, or your LinkedIn headline. It comes from who you are becoming, what you are learning in life and how you are serving this planet and others.

Your work is simply one unique channel through which your purpose is expressed.

Heal with me for a sec.

Are you connected to your life purpose right now? You don’t need to overthink your answer. You either feel it — or you don’t. Maybe you don’t yet have the words for it, but you know it in your body. You embody it.

– If you’re not connected to it — are you craving deeper meaning, more contentment, or a clearer sense of direction?

– Or is something within or around you shifting? Maybe an old purpose is fading, and a new one is trying to emerge.

These are exactly the moments many of my clients come to me. Often, they’re standing at the edge of something new. Something has changed — and their purpose is evolving with them.

And in just one session, I’ve helped many women reconnect with their deeper purpose.

Not as a vague idea. But as a felt, embodied, guiding force that informs how they lead, work, and live.

If you’re ready to reconnect with your purpose — or sense that yours is evolving — I’d be happy to guide you through it.
