Maiju Stopped Building the Business That Made Sense

She chose the business she knew she would still love years from now.

Meet Maiju

Here’s Maiju.

When we started working together, she was about to leave her corporate career and become an entrepreneur.

On paper, her next step seemed obvious. She had built a successful career in marketing, so naturally she planned to start a marketing business.

But something kept pulling her in another direction.

For years she had carried the same quiet question:

“Would I be happier doing work that truly looked like me?”

She kept returning to it, but never fully trusted herself enough to answer it.

The Pattern: Choosing What Made Sense Instead of What Felt Right

Like many ambitious women, Maiju knew how to make logical decisions. She knew how to choose the safe option, the sensible option, the one everyone around her would understand.

But underneath all of that was another dream she had quietly carried for years.

She wanted to build a travel business.

For others it looked like the smartest business idea due to her marketing career background but every part of her knew it was the one she wanted to spend years building.

The problem wasn’t that she lacked courage.

It was that every important business decision was still being filtered through logic instead of the deeper knowing already inside her.

What We Did: Intuitive Business Healing

We worked together through deep intuitive healing journeys using The Founder Within Method.

Instead of trying to think her way into the right business, we worked underneath the thinking—releasing the patterns that kept her looking outside herself for certainty and reconnecting with the part of her that already knew the direction.

The goal wasn’t simply to choose a business.

It was to change where that decision came from.

What Shifted

She completely changed the business she was about to build.

Maiju expected to become a freelance marketing consultant because it matched her background and experience. Instead, she chose to build the travel business she had quietly dreamed about for years. Looking back, she describes that decision as one of the most liberating moments of her career. Rather than continuing with the business that made sense on paper, she chose the one she knew she would genuinely love building.

She stopped questioning herself and started trusting her own direction.

Before our work together, she had spent years wondering whether there was another path she should take. She describes constantly “dipping her toes” into different ideas without ever feeling completely certain. Afterwards, she no longer felt lost. Even though she didn’t know every future step, she could clearly see the bigger direction. During moments of doubt, she returned to that inner knowing instead of starting the whole decision-making process again.

She started building from what truly mattered to her.

One of Maiju’s deepest realizations was that she was allowed to build a business around what she genuinely cared about not only around the skills she already had. She stopped asking, “What business should I build?” and started asking, “What kind of life and business do I actually want to wake up to every day?” That shift changed the entire foundation of her business.

She discovered strengths she hadn’t fully valued before.

As her direction became clearer, so did her confidence. She began recognizing abilities that had always been there but that she had overlooked. Instead of focusing on what she still needed to learn, she started building from the strengths she already possessed. That changed how she saw herself as an entrepreneur.

The change reached far beyond her business.

The work didn’t only change her business idea. It changed how she related to uncertainty, money, and her future. She describes feeling noticeably calmer, more excited, and much more trusting that she could create the life she wanted. Instead of constantly preparing for what could go wrong, she found herself believing that opportunities would come, that she could create meaningful work, and that she was capable of making it happen.

With Essi's invaluable support and wisdom, I truly understood that I can build a business that I want instead of only choosing what seems logical or familiar. Because of this, my entire business idea shifted.

Why So Many Women Build the "Wrong" Business

Many women don’t build the “wrong” business because they lack talent or ideas. They build the business that feels logical.

The business they already know. The business that is easiest to explain to other people.

But the businesses that become deeply fulfilling are rarely built from logic alone.

They are built from a much deeper place.

When you reconnect with that place, clarity stops feeling like something you have to chase.

You simply know.

And from there, building your business becomes a very different experience.

The most important learning was the courage and clarity to craft my own path. I now trust what feels right, and I feel so much more confident and excited about the future.
