Leaning Into Uncertainty: The Feminine Power We Are Taught to Fear

“You have the strength to be in the uncertainty and face the unknown.”

I’ve heard this exact sentence three times in the last three days. And that made me pause, because that comfort wasn’t always there. It didn’t come easily.

It came from leaving my career, my home country, my home, my diet, and most of my belongings behind. And then walking without a map for a very long time. The only guiding star I had was the pull to return to myself.

It came from learning how to sit with the discomfort I used to run from. It came from slowly becoming friends with the very things I once feared: uncertainty and the unknown.

-

Recently, the conversations I’ve had with clients have all been orbiting around the same thing: The fear of uncertainty. The discomfort of not knowing what comes next.

All of my clients are in search of clarity. And I believe one of my superpowers is to help you find it.

But it always begins with this: You first have to face uncertainty and learn to trust the unknown.

And that’s why I want to talk about it more and remind you that being in uncertainty is a natural, even beautiful place to be. You are not weak. You are not lost. You are not in the wrong place. You are exactly where you need to be — between the old and the new.

What If Uncertainty Is Where a Part of Your Power Lives?

We all have masculine and feminine energy within us. But we’ve been conditioned to believe that power looks like:

  • Knowing
  • Planning
  • Doing
  • Logic
  • Control

All of these are masculine traits.

Meanwhile, the creative, chaotic, intuitive, flowing, cyclical, emotional feminine power has been pushed into the background.

And uncertainty is part of the feminine power within you. So, you don’t lose your power in uncertainty— you might lose access to it.

When most people drop into uncertainty and feel powerless, they’re not actually powerless, they are just unfamiliar with how to be there. They haven’t yet built the safety to:

  • Be with what is unclear
  • Hold space for what is yet to form
  • Trust the unknown — without needing proof

The more you create safety within yourself, the more your power becomes available, especially in moments of uncertainty and when you’re standing in the unknown. That’s where your feminine power expands.

Why the Mind Fights It

The mind loves the familiar. Not because it’s right, but because it feels safe.

Even when something is no longer good for you: a job, a relationship, a role, a way of being, the mind clings. Because it’s known.

Uncertainty — and being in the unknown — feels like a free fall. Like darkness or a loss of control. You don’t know what you’re about to face or what will happen next. Your mind interprets both uncertainty and the unknown as threats, because it can’t predict or control them.

In the unknown, you’re being invited to:

  • Let go of the familiar
  • Be present in the “empty” space
  • And lean into something deeper than logic

That’s where trust begins. That’s where you reconnect with the part of you that already knows. Your power is simply waiting for you to meet it there.

And all that’s asked of you — is to become comfortable in the uncomfortable.

Uncertainty Is a Place of Limitless Possibility

Yes, uncertainty can be terrifying. It can bring up fear, doubt, anxiety.

But that same space also holds your limitless potential. Because in this space:

  • Innovation is born
  • Intuition is sharpened
  • Creativity is unlocked
  • Transformation unfolds

The more you lean into uncertainty, not to fix it, but to accept it, the more you begin to see that it’s not empty. It’s actually full of possibilities.

You can create great things with certainty. But you can only create something new in uncertainty.
