Your home is your mirror

A lot is spoken about how the relationships are your mirror, but little is talked about how also your home is a true mirror of yourself. It reflects your personality, energy, emotions, fears, life, and everything – even if you share the space with someone else. I know it may sound a bit funny, but let me explain this in more detail.

Think about your physical home, the space where you currently live. You have created that space (alone or with someone) and keep on creating it. Your energy takes over the entire place and emerges with the other energies. And with this energy, you decorate it (or at least some aspects of it). You take care of it by organizing and cleaning it. You laugh there. You cry there. You live there your daily life and do your things. When you look at it like this, you see that the space within and around you are intertwined. Your inner home affects the physical home and vice versa.

In the dream dictionaries, home is always a symbol of yourself. Feng shui is all about this. Many people around the world also unconsciously know this. They know that by changing aspects (even the tiniest) of your home, you truly create space for the changes to take place, and this welcomes new energy into your life.

For example, how do you feel when you have just cleaned your home? How does it feel when you have decluttered your wardrobe and given away a bunch of old clothes? It feels like something changed within!

This happens the other way as well. When you work on yourself, aspects of your physical home will – and should change. Sometimes you move to a new home – or even a new country. That happened to me! Sometimes, you decide to change the furniture in the living room right after you have released a massive fear from your life. Sometimes after rounds of many meditations, you might get rid of a painting that you never really liked.

Now, look around your home with the awareness that it mirrors you and your life.

What do you see?

What does it reflect?
