A Case Study: Master Bedroom Redesign in Finland – The Sanctuary of Rest

My clients envisioned a renewed main bedroom as a cozy sanctuary of rest in their Finnish home. Desiring an atmosphere of peace, love, and tranquility, they asked me to infuse warmth and aesthetics into the space. The objective was to create a harmonious, visually stunning, and inviting room of relaxation. If possible, they wanted to use natural materials, second-hand items, and non-toxic paint. They also wanted to add a cozy reading corner into the room.
This project didn’t require structural changes but called for a new style and décor. Embracing their passion for DIY home projects, the clients managed to handle furniture purchases, painting, finishes, and renovations independently. This also saved a lot of money for them.
While cherishing a few existing pieces, like their bed, an antique closet, and an inherited bookshelf, the clients granted me creative freedom within a budget of 5k EUR.
